Bonhoeffer once said, “It would not be difficult to arrange all of [the psalms] according to the petitions of the Lord’s Prayer,” hence this free document: “The Psalter and the Lord’s Prayer.”

In “The Psalter and the Lord’s Prayer,” Dr. John Pless, professor at Concordia Theological Seminary (Fort Wayne, Ind.), pairs psalms with each petition of the Lord’s Prayer.

To my delight, there are at least seven psalms for each petition. That means that a weekly focus on each petition can have daily psalm pairings for home devotions.

Dr. Pless has many wonderful free resources, as do many others, in addition to this one, available through CTSFW Media. He has graciously given us permission to host this here also.
