St. Martin of Tours Mission to the Armed Forces Homeschool Co-op

Brothers and sisters, I am so excited about the newest Lutheran homeschooling resources on LutheranHomeschool.com! We have a new vendor, Rev. and Mrs. Gandy, and they have just added four tremendous co-op/ liturgical living resources, titled under “St. Martin of Tours Mission to the Armed Forces Homeschool Co-op”!

Lutheran Coloring Books & Pages

Ladies & Gentlemen, our latest resource on LutheranHomeschool.com is a free compiled list of Lutheran coloring books & pages. Please do let us know if you have more recommendations we should add.

Just so you know, our current projects underway include 1) a family Bible curriculum, 2) a middle school (and older) curriculum tentatively titled Liturgy Lessons: Welcome to Your Hymnal, and 3) a list of 3 or 4 hymn suggestions for each week of the church year. Now, it got too complicated trying to avoid repetition while offering lectionary-specific pieces, so the hymn selection mostly follows the one year lectionary but is chock full of great confessing hymns applicable throughout a Christians life.

There is also a high school apologetics course that we’re just not quite sure the status of. 🙂

So we’re busy, busy! Please say a prayer, if you would, for our vendors as they do their best for the families and for fellow Lutheran homeschoolers, too.

Blessings!

Mary

Homeschool Co-op Guidance

Our latest product is free guidance and a template for those considering forming/joining/hosting a homeschool co-op. We did try to compile a list of existing Lutheran co-ops but there are many more that we simply are unaware of.

Also, as much as we try to compile before publishing, we’ve already been able to expand our free Compiled List of Resources for Apologetics with a list of Lutheran-recommended (rather than Lutheran-written) books, and we are up to eleven Lutheran teachers & tutors with five or six more still considering their schedules, etc. Yay!

As always, let us know if we can improve our resources! We can best do that through your feedback.

Blessings on your summer!

HS American Lit & Teachers/Tutors

Ladies & Gentlemen, I’m pleased to announce that Lutheranhomeschool.com now sells an entire year of high school American Literature, called Examining Worldviews in American Literature. We are thrilled to be offering such a complete course and, over this summer, we are still working on more! 🙂

We have also started a page to list Lutheran Teachers & Tutors for 2021-2022 who offer services catering to Lutheran homeschoolers. So far we only have a handful of names, so please let us know if you have suggestions to add. Then we follow it with Lutheran schools that offer a la carte classes.

Most of the other projects we are working on involve religion class, but please do let me know if you have other requests.

Memorizing Psalms

Who wants to do better about memory work with their kids? I do! So I’ve put together a resource for memorizing psalms that I plan to use with my family.

It has some tips, resources, and 16 psalms to memorize.

If you have more suggestions, let me know and I’ll update it. 🙂 My family and I are just starting this.

New Vendor & Two Free Printables!

Ladies & Gentlemen, LutheranHomeschool.com has a new vendor: The Faithful Homeschool by Jennifer Whalen, who you just might follow as @thefaithfulhomeschool on Instagram. 🙂 Jennifer’s background is in education, and she has a Master’s Degree in Education with several years of teaching experience before becoming a homeschooling mom. We’re excited to have her join our team, as she has pursues a Lutheran, Charlotte Mason-inspired approach to homeschooling.

Her first two products are both freebies (Yay!): a nice printable of The Lord’s Prayer and a likewise lovely printable of the 10 Commandments.

Any other printables you’d like to see? Anything else we ought to work on? Let us know, and we’ll see what we can do!
